As students were being taught about the structure and physical nature of animals through art, Kinship Academy embarked on a field trip to the real thing. One of the Kinship Academy’s students works at the stables, so he was able to teach the other children about the horse he cares for, what it entails, his experience in vaulting and the joy he gets from connecting with animals.

Kinship Academy’s teachers were able to give real life examples for how a horse moves, how it interacts and what makes up a horses' physical structure. These exercises helped build presence of mind, critical thinking and, later in art class, recollection of a horses' muscle structure.
